Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp butter For melting and adding flavor.
  • 1 pkg gnocchi (16 oz) Use fresh or store-bought.
  • 1 lb ground beef Can use turkey or plant-based alternatives.
  • ½ cup chopped onion For flavoring the beef mixture.
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz) Drained before use.
  • ¾ cup chicken broth Can substitute with beef broth or water.
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce For umami flavor.
  • 1 pkg shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz) For richness and creaminess.

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook until they become nicely toasted, about a few minutes.
  • Remove the toasted gnocchi from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add the ground beef and chopped onion, cooking over medium heat until the beef is crumbly and browned.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add in the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until well combined.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil and then cover the skillet, reducing heat and letting it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Gently stir in the shredded Cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
  • Serve the cheeseburger gnocchi warm.

Notes

Pairs well with a simple side salad or steamed vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
