  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (divided into two portions) Use half to cook the chicken and the remaining half for the sauce.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust based on preference.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Can substitute with other herbs.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped Chop finely for better flavor release.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Add at the end to brighten flavors.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season generously.

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel to ensure they sear well.
  • Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Melt half of the unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat until it sizzles gently.
  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts into the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken breasts and cook for an additional 6-7 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
  • Reduce the heat and add the remaining butter along with the parsley and thyme, stirring to combine.
  • Add lemon juice before finishing cooking and make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be sliced for salads, and pairs well with rice to soak up the sauce.
