  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Use thawed chicken for best results.
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz) Make sure it is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 packet Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) Can substitute with cream of mushroom soup.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust seasoning to preference.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) Enhances flavor and presentation.

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crock pot, spread out evenly.
  • Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and Italian salad dressing mix until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the chicken in the crock pot.
  • Pour the cream of chicken soup over the chicken.
  • Add chicken broth around the edges of the pot.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot and cook until the chicken is tender, about 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks and stir the remaining sauce.
  • Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions and mix it into the sauce.

Notes

For variations, consider adding garlic powder, red pepper flakes, or sautéed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
