  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup low sodium ketchup
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds For garnish

Preparation

  • Arrange the chicken thighs in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, oregano, and parsley. Whisk until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken thighs, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  • Close the lid of the slow cooker and choose your cooking time: set it for 4 to 5 hours on low or 3 to 4 hours on high.
  • Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a serving plate and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

If you prefer a thicker sauce, cook it uncovered for an extra hour after the chicken is done. For added nutrition, consider adding chopped vegetables like bell peppers or carrots into the slow cooker.
