  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Provides moisture and depth.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Adds brightness.
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme Imparts herbal notes.
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Adds gentle heat.
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream Provides creamy consistency.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken thighs generously with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Cooking

  • Add the seasoned chicken thighs skin side down and cook until crispy and golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken and cook until done, reaching an internal temperature of at least 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the butter, shallot, and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  • Add chicken broth, lemon juice, thyme, and crushed red pepper, stirring to combine.
  • Slowly introduce heavy cream and let the sauce simmer until thickened.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and let it soak in the sauce for a few minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning before serving, garnishing with chopped parsley.

Notes

Pat chicken dry for best sear. Adjust spice levels as desired. Ensure proper cooking temperature for safety.
