Garlic Parmesan Chicken Bake

Ingredients
  

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 or 3 pieces chicken breasts, cut in half horizontally
  • 3 teaspoons paprika, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon (optional)
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Sauce Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (or garlic powder)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley, plus for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400ºF.
  • Season the chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, and one teaspoon of paprika. If using, add the instant chicken bouillon.
  • Arrange seasoned chicken in a baking dish, lying flat for even cooking.

Making the Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, parmesan, black pepper, minced garlic, two teaspoons of paprika, chopped parsley, red chili pepper flakes (if using), and Italian seasoning.
  • Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken cutlets, reserving a bit for serving.

Baking

  • Bake the chicken for about 15-20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Serve with cauliflower rice or baked veggies, along with the remaining sauce for dipping.

Notes

For crispier topping, broil the chicken briefly at the end of baking. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to three months.
