Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken provides protein and moisture
  • 2 cups broccoli florets adds crunch and nutrition
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced contributes sweetness and color
  • 1 large carrot, julienned offers texture and slight sweetness
  • 1 small onion, sliced gives flavor depth
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic enhances the overall flavor
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger adds warmth and spice
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce brings a sweet-savory glaze

Cooking Oils

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking and moisture
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil enhances flavor with nuttiness

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
  • Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add sesame oil and then the broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, and onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
  • Return the ground chicken to the skillet, pour in the teriyaki sauce, and stir to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

Serving

  • Serve the stir fry hot over cooked rice or in lettuce wraps, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For best results, prep all ingredients beforehand, and don’t overcrowd the skillet while cooking. Adjust the amount of teriyaki sauce to your taste.
