  • 6 pieces boneless skinless chicken thighs Juicy and tender, perfect for this recipe.
  • Salt and black pepper To taste for seasoning.
  • 2 Tbsp salted butter 1 Tbsp for searing, 1 Tbsp for the sauce.

For the Sauce

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced Mince well for even flavor distribution.
  • 3 Tbsp honey Adds sweetness and glaze.
  • 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce Use low sodium to prevent high saltiness.
  • 1/2 tsp ground thyme Herb that complements the chicken.
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger Adds warmth to the sauce.

Preparation

  • Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of salted butter until melted.

Cooking

  • Add chicken thighs to the skillet in a single layer and sear for about 5 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Meanwhile, combine minced garlic, honey, low sodium soy sauce, ground thyme, and ground ginger in a small bowl to make the sauce.
  • Carefully flip the chicken thighs and pour the honey garlic sauce over them, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  • Cook for an additional 5 minutes, occasionally spooning the sauce over the chicken.
  • Once cooked and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter.

Notes

Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. For a thicker sauce, simmer longer. Leftovers are great in wraps or sandwiches.
