  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for topping) Adds creaminess and a golden crust
  • 0.5 cup marinara sauce (optional, for topping) For added moisture and flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Add the large egg and milk to the mixture, stirring gently to combine without overmixing.
  • Incorporate the minced garlic, finely chopped onion, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper into the mixture until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and transfer it to a baking dish.
  • If using mozzarella, sprinkle it on top of the formed meatloaf.
  • Optionally, add marinara sauce on top before baking or serve it on the side.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Gently handle the mixture to ensure the meatloaf stays tender. Always taste the mixture before baking to adjust seasoning as needed.
