Preparation

  • Pour half a cup of chicken broth into the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Place the four chicken breasts in the crock pot, ensuring they lie flat and are not overcrowded.
  • Drizzle one tablespoon of olive oil over the chicken breasts.
  • In a small bowl, mix together one teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of paprika, half a teaspoon of black pepper, and one teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  • Once the chicken is fully cooked, carefully remove it from the crock pot.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the seasonings for a couple of hours before cooking. Adding a splash of lemon juice before serving can brighten flavors nicely.
